Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Sarkar is an Indian pharmaceutical scientist, academician and institutional administrator serving as Dean & Principal of the School of Pharmacy and Director of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at YBN University, Rajaultau Namkum, Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. With over 18 years of teaching, research and administrative experience in pharmaceutical sciences, he has guided 7 PhD scholars, published more than 40 research papers in national and international journals, authored 4 books, filed 5 patents and successfully led YBN University through its NAAC B+ Grade accreditation. He holds recognition from the London Book of World Records (2024) and the Forbes Book of World Records (2025) for his exceptional contributions to pharmaceutical education and research. He is a recipient of more than 20 national and international awards including the Chanakya National Leadership Award 2025, the Mahatma Gandhi National Service Award 2025 and India's Top 100 Professor Icon of 2025.

Early Life and Education

Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Sarkar was born on 25 January 1985 in Panna, Madhya Pradesh, India, to Dr. Ajit Sarkar and Mrs. Patralekha Sarkar. He completed his schooling at Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Jaithari, Anuppur (M.P.) — passing his 10th Board Examination in 2000 with 76.8% and his 12th Board Examination in 2002 with 68.5%.

He pursued his academic career in pharmacy and management across several prestigious institutions:
