Dr. Sreekumar Krishnan is an Indian mechanical engineer, international author, business consultant and artificial intelligence mentor based in Kochi, Kerala. He is the Managing Partner of Yantra Holdings, a business consultancy firm, and is the author of four published books. With over 37 years of multidisciplinary experience spanning engineering, automation, artificial intelligence, management and knowledge systems, Dr. Krishnan has won more than 130 national and international awards across business consultancy, artificial intelligence, astrology and authorship.

Early Life and Background

Dr. Sreekumar Krishnan was born in 1964 in Kerala, India. He pursued his academic interests with exceptional dedication, earning a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering with First Class from the University of Kerala, followed by multiple postgraduate qualifications including an M.Tech in Advanced Mechanical & Industrial Engineering, a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Industrial Technology & Management.

His early career began in the glass manufacturing industry, where he built a strong foundation in production engineering, plant operations and maintenance management.

Career

Early Career

Dr. Krishnan began his professional journey in 1988 with Excel Glasses Limited, Alappuzha, where he was promoted to Shift-In-Charge within three months of joining. He subsequently joined Mohan Industries Limited, Pondicherry in 1990, where he resolved complex challenges involved with the introduction of computerized technology in the glass industry for the first time in India, achieving a record 98% efficiency in the third shift of operation.

National Factory for Glass Bottles, Saudi Arabia (1991–2001)

From August 1991 to September 2001, Dr. Krishnan served as Maintenance Engineer at the National Factory for Glass Bottles, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During this decade, he raised plant efficiency from 66% to a consistent 94% plus level. He implemented a custom-designed product change procedure that reduced average product change time from 3.5 hours to 20 minutes per change. He also served as ISO 9002 Coordinator, successfully achieving certification in December 1995.

Leadership Roles in India (2001–2016)

On returning to India, Dr. Krishnan served in multiple leadership roles across diverse industries. As General Manager of Kaveri Pet & Polyforms Pvt. Ltd., Kolenchery from 2001 to 2004, he commissioned the plant successfully before deadline and achieved a sustained monthly output of 230 MT, earning the company an "A Plus" rating as an outsourcing partner of Nilkamal Plastics Limited. He subsequently held senior positions at LIS Deepasthambham Project, Jyothis Project, Vertex Securities Limited and Origa Wheels & Equipments Pvt. Ltd., demonstrating versatile expertise across operations, business development and management.

Yantra Holdings (2011–Present)

In 2011, Dr. Krishnan established Yantra Holdings in Kochi, focusing on business consultancy operations from 2014 onwards. Under his leadership, Yantra Holdings has served clients across diverse sectors including imports, soaps, moulded furniture, plastics, innerwear and PVC pipes. His consultancy work has delivered measurable results including cost reductions of more than 5% in plant operations, logistics cost savings of over 20%, and recovery of up to 45% of long-pending receivables for client businesses.
