Early Life and Education
N. Deepalakshmi was born on 20 May 1975. She completed her schooling at GGHSS, Vandavasi, Thiruvannamalai district, Tamil Nadu. After completing her 12th standard, she joined D.T.Ed. at her own school. Inspired by her English teachers, she decided in 1994 to pursue English Literature as her degree course, joining Pachaiyappa's College for Women and completing her first year there.
In 1995, the Tamil Nadu government announced the TRB (Teacher Recruitment Board) examination, which she cleared, securing her first appointment as a Secondary Grade Teacher at the age of 20. She later advanced to the role of B.T. Assistant through distance education, going on to complete her M.A. in English and B.Ed.
Career
N. Deepalakshmi has dedicated over 31 years to teaching, currently serving as a B.T. Assistant in English, handling 9th and 10th standard students. She describes teaching as her passion, and credits much of her growth and inspiration over the years to her students.
She has also completed the SWAYAM PLUS – AI for All Educators programme through IIT Madras, reflecting her continued engagement with modern educational tools and methods.
