Naveed Alam — widely known by his creative name Rehaan Raja — is an Indian Technical Assistant in Information Technology under the Government of India, entrepreneur, writer, music producer and digital empowerment advocate based in Doda, Jammu & Kashmir, India. Born on 25 July 1997 in the rural district of Doda, he is the Founder of Rehaan Music Studio and the Owner of Aayat Internet Cafe — a digital services centre providing CSC services, e-governance assistance, banking, insurance, online documentation and internet facilities to rural communities in Doda. His journey from financial hardship in a remote rural area to becoming a recognised digital entrepreneur, government technical professional, writer and music producer is an inspiring story of struggle, passion and self-belief. He is the recipient of the National Excellence & Pride Award 2026 and the Men of Impact 2026 Award — both conferred by Treta Yug Foundation.

Early Life and Background

Naveed Alam was born on 25 July 1997 in the rural district of Doda, Jammu & Kashmir, India. Coming from a humble background in a remote rural area, he faced significant financial difficulties in the early stage of his life and career. Despite these challenges, he harboured a deep passion for technology, creativity and community service — a combination that would eventually define his unique and multifaceted career.

Journey and Career

Learning and Mentorship in Srinagar

To pursue his passion for graphic designing and creative work, Naveed Alam travelled to Srinagar — where he received crucial training and mentorship from Mohd Ashraf Khan at The Guide Enterprises. During this formative period, he was provided a monthly stipend of ₹3,500 for survival while he developed professional designing skills. This experience of being supported by a mentor during difficult times deeply influenced his own philosophy of supporting others in need.

Founding Aayat Internet Cafe (2020)

In 2020, with courage, determination and a clear vision for self-employment, Naveed Alam took a bank loan of ₹10 lakh and started building Aayat Internet Cafe from the ground up in Doda. The initial years were challenging — in a remote rural area where digital awareness was limited, very few people initially trusted or used his services. For nearly two years, he continued to serve, educate and spread awareness about digitalisation, CSC services, banking, DigiPay, online documentation, insurance, scholarships and government schemes — without losing faith.

Gradually, people began to trust his work and services — and Aayat Internet Cafe grew into a successfully established digital service centre serving the community of rural Doda.

Technical Assistant — Government of India

Naveed Alam serves as a Technical Assistant in Information Technology under the Government of India — working in IT-related governmental services and contributing to the digital infrastructure and e-governance ecosystem in his region.

Through music and writing, he channels real-life experiences and emotions into art that connects meaningfully with people.
