Dr. Bushra Tasleem is an Indian academic and researcher in the field of Commerce, based in Bangalore, Karnataka, with expertise in Finance, Taxation, and Behavioral Finance. She currently works as a Professor, alongside her engagement as a community worker and social worker.
Education
Dr. Bushra Tasleem completed her Master of Commerce (M.Com.) from Bangalore University, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance and Taxation from Annamalai University. She was subsequently awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Commerce from the University of Mysore in 2026. Her Ph.D. thesis was titled "Role of Bullish Market on High Returns Among Small Cap Equity Funds – A Study on BSE & NSE", focusing on the relationship between bullish market conditions and returns generated by small-cap equity funds.
She is also the author of the textbook Marketing Management. Dr. Tasleem began her teaching career with Master of Commerce (M.Com.) students and later gained experience teaching degree-level students, including the subject of Economics.
Career
With teaching experience since 2017 in postgraduate commerce education, Dr. Tasleem has been actively engaged in curriculum development, financial literacy, and investment behavior research. She teaches and mentors postgraduate commerce students with a specialization in Finance, Taxation, and Behavioral Finance, and has also been involved in curriculum development for M.Com programmes.
Her work aims to simplify complex financial concepts and bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world investor decision-making.
